How to Make a Homemade Photo Lamp
If the humdrum lampshade isn’t working for you or you want to customize or personalize a room, create a photo lampshade in order to brighten and liven up any room.
STEPS :

Measure lampshade :
Since you will be designing a collage to fit around your lampshade you will need the exact measurements to make it fit properly.
Choose and edit your photos :

This may be the hardest step as you will only be able to use enough photos to cover the lampshade.
- Select photos of various sizes.
- Edit photos to create a theme (black and white, splash of color, full color, etc.)
Design a collage using your photo editing software :

Apply lampshade measurements to the template and then add your photos. Keep in mind you are wrapping the paper around the lampshade when designing.
- Remember that you may need to use two pieces of paper for your collage too.
Print collage onto vellum or tracing paper :

Make sure your inkjet or laser printer will accept vellum or tracing paper.
Wrap printed vellum/tracing paper :

Wrap printed vellum/tracing paper around lampshade and affix with sheer tape.
- You may want to apply tape to not only the paper but also the paper to the shade.
- Trim and fit as needed using scissors or your craft knife.
- Try to use the least amount of tape as possible.
